Zigfrid Von Underbelly

Its quirkiness is contagious and makes it hard not to let loose! It's like sitting in a friend's living room where nothing matches anything else (eclectic ?) and the most unexpected of things might happen (like french porn suddenly displayed on the giant screen hanging from the wall - seriously! ) Oh and did I mention, it has tree branches hanging from the ceiling resting against square industrial metal pipes ???? How can you not love this place!

Medicine Bar

Makes the best Mojitos and has the greatest music (need I say more than the words Sonar Kollectiv)... I love this place!

Pimps & Pinups

Ok so it's cool and it's quirky! Not only is this place a hair salon (and the prices aren't too bad either! )but if you're lucky you'll go for a haircut and stay for a gig ;)

Neal's Yard - Covent Garden

Well it's not hard to see why I love this place! Even on a gloomy overcast London day (god knows there's many!) this burst of color is enough to make me smile! I also love it because it's almost "hidden" and decidedly odd in its purpose! If ever there was an HQ to the "alternative collective" this has to be it!

Porterhouse - Covent Garden

This place is a must for beer lovers as it has beers from all over the world (to my surprise I even found Greek ones :P ). It also offers live music from various bands to accompany those "merry" nights! But what's much more amazing about this place is the actual interior design. There are split levels and winding staircases enough to walk around and discover another "secluded" drinking area that you wouldn't have known was there from just around the corner. This is the place for mirth and lovers' trysts :)

Ray's Jazz Caffe @ Foyles

This is probably a nice place because not many people know about it :P A chilled-out retreat from the hustle and bustle of Tottenham Court Road! Friendly Staff, jazzy world music in the background enough to make your mind wander without ever being intrusive. Lovely heavy wooden tables (or the stools by the window for a view of people walking up and down Tottenham Court Road). Refreshing 100% real fresh fruit juices and wi-fi for free net access .... it is heaven :)

Spitalfields Market

Well don't need to say much about this place! Retro, Vintage, secondhand or new it's all here waiting for you :P

Ed's Diner

This is the closest you can get to a classic American diner - in the centre of London! I just love the detail in the decor including individual juke boxes on the counter and the tables as well as an original (though no longer in use) red metal coka cola dispensing machine! But the best thing about this place is the people in it! They are always friendly and welcoming and happy to make a joke or two :P Oh and the best thing on their menu? Chocolate Malted Shake!!! As soon as you've stepped off the road and into Ed's it's like going back in time! Wish I could find myself in a knee-length flared skirt, tucked in blouse, pig tails and a dreamy guy called Brad to share a shake with ;)
